Fate
The three fates are the incarnations of destiny. Clotho, the spinner, spins the thread of life, Lachesis, the allotter, measures the thread and weaves our desisting on her loom, and Atropos, the inevitable, cuts the thread. They sing in unison with the music of the Sirens. Lachesis sings the things that were, Clotho the things that are, and Atropos the things that are to be.
